Sarah and Beau,
Happy Valentine's Day!
Your Mom and I love you and are fortunate to be your parents.
Being your parents is very easy to do, because you have made it easy on us. We are thankful for your obedient hearts.
Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord - Colossions 3:20
We are grateful for your love of Christ, your confession of sins, and your commitment to the faith. This is by far our greatest desire for your life; that you continue to grow in Christ, make Him known, and live a life that lights up the shadows. The world is full of untruth, wicked people, and tough times. Your faith will be what pulls you through. The goal is Christ, as this life will end and eternity is what matters most.
Don't let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. 1 Timothy 4:12
Your hard work is encouraging to us. Not just doing well in school, but your creativity and commitment to your jobs. To have children that have created their own source of income is exciting to us. When we come home in the evenings and you are talking to your clients, generating invoices and planning, it lets us know you value hard work.
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.- Colossions 3:32
Your love for life is an encouragement to us. Your laughter is contagious. You're both funny and entertaining. As you grow, we are going to miss your company, but we are taking in every moment now.
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine Proverbs 17:22
We are grateful that you reflect the beliefs and values of the Owens family. Your actions have blessed us and our family. You are known for your actions and your faith.
Even children are known by the way they act, whether their conduct is pure, and whether it is right.- Proverbs 20:11
Saint Valentine is said to have paid for his faith with his life on February 14, 273 in Rome. This may be your calling one day, but remember it is harder to live for the faith than to die for it.
Continue to love Christ. Love Truth. Love the scriptures. Love others. Hate sin.
We love you and are in constant prayer for you.
